Flannel + Flares = FALL

Fall is the season for change; turning leaves, the start of school, shorter days, and cooler weather.  In the spirit of change, I have redesigned my blog and merged the blog with my business website.  As such, you will now easily find both fashion trends and styling advice on my blog as well as information on my services and testimonials from my clients now all on  In order to receive notifications via email when there is a new blog post, please go to the new site and be sure to subscribe in the upper right-hand corner.  Thank you so much for following along on my fashion adventures and sharing in my stylish aspirations!

Nothing screams fall fashion like a soft flannel shirt paired with of-the-moment high-rise flares.  Tucking the flannel in to the fit and flare shape of the jeans creates such a flattering, and totally feminine figure.  And a throw-back to casual 1970’s style – this look reminds me of one of my favorite movies “Dazed and Confused.”  If this is fall, “all right, all right, all right.”  (Imagine my best Matthew McConaughey impersonation here)

Keep extra details modern and dainty to avoid looking too retro (ready costumey) or masculine.  Teased hair and oversized accessories are best reserved for a more simple or lady-like look.  Instead, add feminine touches such as stacking delicate gold rings and a red lip to bring the plaid shirt and flare jeans into 2015.

{outfit details} shirt: Topshop | jeans: Hudson | boots: All Saints (similar) | clutch: Hobo found at Queen Anne Dispatch | sunglasses: Michael Kors (similar) | bracelets: Gorjanasimilar, own | earrings: Lucia K | rings: Gorjana, own | lips: NARS Cruella

Thank you again for reading! I’m very excited to share with you my redesigned site and continue to provide styling advice and fashion updates via this blog.  As always, please feel free to leave a comment with any and all suggestions or questions.

And, stay tuned as Kirsty and I continue to share more plaid inspiration all week.  More fall flannel love to come…

All the best! ~Jenn
